TerraNova Design was founded in 2014 by Adaeze Obi-Mensah, a trained architect with a passion for translating the richness of African culture into contemporary living spaces. Starting with a single studio in Lekki, the practice has grown into a team of 18 designers, architects and landscape specialists.
Our name — TerraNova, meaning "New Earth" — captures our founding belief: that every project is an opportunity to create something entirely new, rooted in the land and culture that surrounds it.
From our Lekki studio, we've delivered over 230 projects across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Accra — earning eight industry awards and the trust of Nigeria's most discerning homeowners, property developers and hospitality brands.
We select every material, every finish, every piece of furniture with the same rigour — because the details make the difference between good and extraordinary.
Our designs celebrate Nigeria's extraordinary biodiversity — integrating natural materials, tropical plants and organic forms to create spaces that breathe and heal.
We listen before we design. Every project is a deep collaboration — your vision, your lifestyle, your story — expressed through our craft.
We specify sustainable materials, support local craftsmen and design for longevity — because beautiful spaces should leave a light footprint.
We champion Nigerian and West African artisans, fabrics, art and craftsmanship — bringing cultural depth and authentic identity to every project.
We honour our commitments. Our 98% on-time delivery record and transparent project reporting give every client complete peace of mind.
Our studio brings together architects, interior designers, landscape specialists and project managers — united by a passion for craft and excellence.
